Committees

The Chamber serves as a catalyst to organize and direct the energies of those who believe that a community worth living in is a community worth investing in to make it better.

The Chamber is made up of the following volunteer committees:

  • Events & Marketing
  • Economic Development
  • Governmental Affairs

These committees evaluate the Chamber’s past efforts and formulate new ideas/programs that will improve or enhance the quality of the services and events offered. Internal planning and development of each phase of the annual program of work is performed by volunteer coalitions under the direction of the Chamber Staff.

Events & Marketing

Events & Marketing Chair:  Ashley Barrios
Co-Chair:  Dana Adams

The Events & Marketing Committee promotes and maintains enthusiasm and leadership in strengthening The Chamber’s ability to build a better community.  The committee also increases, coordinates and maintains a strong membership in order to provide a sound financial base for the organization. The Events & Marketing Committee is responsible for planning and executing The Chamber’s special events throughout the year.

Economic Development

Economic Development Chair:  Timothy Bush
Co-Chair:  Monique Crochet

The Chamber’s Economic Development Committee promotes and supports business climate through the enhancement of personal relationships between The Chamber and the business community. The committee also helps develop an environment that will attract new businesses, industrial growth and expansion opportunities for businesses within the region.

Governmental Affairs

Governmental Affairs Chair:  John Lombardo
Co-Chair:  Henri Boulet

The Governmental Affairs Committee fosters positive relations between governmental entities/officials and The Chamber. The committee also monitors federal, state and local issues that are directly relative to the interest of the Chamber membership. Issue related breakfast and lunch meetings are also a regular occurring function of this division as are political forums.
