Internet Exposure
The Chamber’s website, is home to our Online Membership Directory, which allows members free worldwide exposure. The website also keeps members updated on upcoming events.
Parish Map
The Chamber produces an area map, which reaches thousands of tourists and newcomers to the area. Members and local businesses can take advantage of this great advertising opportunity. The area map is available at the Chamber Office in Larose, Louisiana.
Grand Openings/Ribbon Cuttings
These ceremonies are designed to increase the visibility of new or expanding businesses, businesses that have relocated, or businesses celebrating a special anniversary, and are provided for Chamber Members only. Let the Lafourche Chamber of Commerce help you celebrate your business milestone!
Member Sponsorships
High visibility and advertising value is offered to members who sponsor a Chamber event, such as the Ambassador Program, luncheons/breakfast, seminars, Annual Banquet, Golf Tournament, etc. As event sponsors, their name is prominently displayed and promoted. Pre-event publicity and mailings afford them broad advertising exposure at no additional cost above the sponsorship fee.
Membership Breakfast/Lunch
Members enjoy mingling with attendees for networking, display tables and speakers on hot area topics that will impact their business area. This is the opportunity for members to interact with others from the business community while also hearing speakers on topics of great interest.
Membership Directory
This annual directory/guide is published annually by The Chamber and distributed to over 1000 members, tourists and in relocation packets for newcomers. Members only are listed alphabetically and by classified categories, providing high visibility to potential customers. Display advertising in the directory/guide is available to members at a very reasonable cost.
Mailing Labels
Members can obtain complete direct mailing information for over 300 Lafourche and the bayou region businesses on ready to use labels, allowing members to develop a database of business prospects. The Chamber also offers a full membership listing on disk. Contact the Chamber for prices.
Business Referral System
Every day, The Chamber refers Chamber Members to potential customers in response to inquiries from tourists, students and newcomers. Members only are referred in response to these inquiries.
Chamber Programs
Lafourche Chamber Foundation
The Lafourche Chamber Foundation serves as a companion, non-profit supporting organization for the Lafourche Chamber of Commerce and for the advancement of education, industry and commerce, awarding scholarships to high school students attending either Nicholls State University or Fletcher Technical Community College.
Leadership Lafourche
A nine month training program in which participants receive leadership skills training and direct contact with organizations, institutions and people in decision and policy making positions central to the process of change and growth in the parish. Annual Awards Banquet
A special event to recognize recipients of the Business Person of the Year, Business & Industry of the Year, Educator of the Year, Ambassador of the Year and Community Hero Award.
Golden Meadow-Fourchon Tarpon Rodeo
The mission of the Golden Meadow-Fourchon Tarpon Rodeo is to maintain the unique family oriented sportsmen culture and heritage of Lafourche and Grand Isle through a community fishing rodeo, with proceeds dedicated to scholarships and educational opportunities for future generations.
Annual Golf Tournament
Several golfers from around the area join in a four-man scramble for 18 holes, awards and lunch.
